Come and immerse yourself in flowers at the Shotley Flower Field.
Throughout the flower growing season I run a small number of seasonal workshops and pick your own events. I try to plan these in advance but due to the weather they are often rather last minute and are scheduled around my wedding and event work. Seasonal Workshops take place in the comfort of the Flower Studio (also run as an Airbnb) while the Gather and Create and Pick Your Own Events are outside only.
Groups are small and friendly with lots of opportunities to ask questions. Tea, coffee and cake is always served unless specifically specified that it is not included.

Autumn Workshop - Saturday 4th October

10 am - 12 noon
For the Autumn Seasonal Workshop we will be making bowl arrangements using simple, elegant flower bowls made by local potter, Karl Greene. We will then fill these with dahlias, cosmos, zinnias and grasses using flower frogs and chicken wire to hold the flowers in place.
I will pick and condition the flowers beforehand so as to ensure your arrangement lasts as long as possible. Everything is provided and there will be plenty of tea, coffee and cake. Whether you’re completely new to flower arranging or just want to spend a peaceful few hours surrounded by flowers, the workshops are designed to be welcoming and inspiring. Afterwards there will also be a chance to look around the flower field.
Pick Your Own - Various Dates
A Pick you Own experience is a lovely way to spend an hour or two in the beautiful Suffolk countryside. After a short introduction you will be given a bucket or basket (one per person) and snips and invited to wander the field and cut your own selection of flowers to take home. Afterward they’ll be tea, coffee and cake. The bucket / basket is not included in the price of PYO so I would suggest you bring a clean bucket with you to transfer your flowers in to.
Places are limited so booking is essential.
Come on your own or with friends and create a stunning Christmas Wreath. Suitable for complete beginners we will be using British foliage and adornments to create a wonderful natural looking wreath finished off with a festive velvet ribbon.
Classes are small and take place in the warmth of the Flower Studio.
£60 to include festive snacks and a glass of fizz.

Buy a gift card for someone and they can use it to buy flowers, attend a Pick Your Own event or a workshop. All flowers must be collected from Shotley Flower Field unless the recipient lives on the Shotley Peninsula where we deliver on Friday afternoons.
